How do I enrol into lessons?
To enrol into lessons please call our Swim School, visit us in person or complete the enquiry form on this website. Children with previous swimming experience will be booked in for a free assessment to ensure that they are placed into the correct level. Enrolments can be made at anytime during the year.

Do lessons continue through school holidays?
Our programs operate all year round, including during the school holidays. We believe ongoing lessons maximise progress. The Swim School is closed on public holidays and your fees will be adjusted accordingly.

What happens if I miss a lesson?
You are entitled to a maximum of one make-up lesson per month which must be taken within 2 weeks of the missed lesson. The time of this make-up lesson will depend on vacancies in other lessons. You are entitled to a make-up lesson if you cancel prior to your lesson. Failure to attend, without notification, does not entitle you to a make-up lesson. Make-up lessons are not available for missed make-up lessons. In extenuating circumstances, such as ongoing illness or long term holidays, please contact our manager.

How long will it take my child to learn to swim?
As your child grows, swimming skills will continue to develop and extend. Each child is unique and will master skills and progress at their own pace. The amount of time spent practising skills can affect how long it takes for your child to progress through the levels. Regular attendance throughout the year will aid in your child’s ability to remain water-safe, retain skills and progress. We heat our indoor pools to a comfortable 31 degrees all year round.

Should I continue swimming all year round?
Swimming lessons provide a unique combination of social and physical interaction with the teacher and classmates. Learning to swim is a lifelong investment and continuing swimming during the winter months will build upon the skills learnt for the following summer. Children require constant practice to acquire new skills and reinforce existing ones. Aquatic education is an ongoing process of long term skill development and committing skills into muscle memory. Stopping over winter may cause your child’s confidence and swimming ability to regress. Our pools are maintained at a comfortable temperature all year round to ensuring optimal conditions for swimming.
